Three new faces ...

As training begins on 14 January 2009, three new players are to be found in the F.C. Copenhagen squad, and all of them will be ready and try to do their best – and by doing so, help to bring back the Danish Championship to F.C. Copenhagen.

As reported back in July 2008, F.C. Copenhagen had signed the Swedish goalkeeper Johan Wiland from January 2009, but on top of this “old signing”, F.C. Copenhagen have added further strength to the Club by bringing in Senegalese striker Dame N’Doye as well as the Danish International Martin Vingaard.

Johan Wiland joins F.C. Copenhagen from the Swedish club IF Elfsborg, for whom he have played almost 200 games, won two Swedish Cup Trophys as well as one National title.

Martin Vingaard has played the last three seasons for Danish League rivals Esbjerg fB, where he has shown that he’s one of the rising stars in Danish football. Vingaard’s impressive play for Esbjerg lead to his debut on the Danish national team in may of 2008.

Dame N’Doye came to F.C. Copenhagen from OFI Crete from the Greek first division – and despite the fact that OFI Crete is only one spot from being last in the League, Dame N’Doye was still in joint second place on the Greek top scorer list. Dame N’Doye has been in Copenhagen once before, as he back in 2007 scored the game winner when Panathinaikos beat F.C. Copenhagen in the UEFA Cup.
