Carlsberg extends 'unique' sponsorship

Carlsberg and FC Copenhagen have extended their cooperative relationship for an additional five years. The new sponsorship agreement runs to 30 June 2016. The deal signifies Carlsberg's commitment to supporting further success in Danish football, and Copenhagen is the landmark club that will help both institutions on a domestic and international level.

Copenhagen CEO Anders Hørsholt commented on renewing such a strong relationship:

- We are very proud to extend our cooperation with Carlsberg. I see the new agreement as the result of Copenhagen’s professionalism, as well as external recognition of our high commercial and sporting standards. The agreement helps to ensure our continued work towards achieving our high sporting goals and ambitions.

- Copenhagen is Scandinavia's undisputed flagship football club, and the Carlsberg logo on our jerseys certainly supports this.

CEO of Carlsberg Denmark, Jesper Jørgensen, expressed his good feelings towards the extension:

- Carlsberg have for years seen how Copenhagen has supplied one magnificent sporting performance after another. We have several sponsorships in the Superliga, but this is something unique. This is recognition of Copenhagen's unique position on the European football stage.
