Nu bliver Parkens energi matchet af solenergi fra Andels solcellepark. Det er et vigtigt skridt for energioptimeringen af F.C. Københavns hjemmebane.

Andel's solar energy supplies Parken Stadium

Parken, Denmark's national stadium, is to begin receiving energy matched with Andel's newly-built solar park in a major step towards energy optimisation at F.C. Copenhagen's home ground.

Andel's newest solar park at Vedde in Central Zealand has now been connected to Denmark's electricity grid and has started producing renewable energy.

The solar park contains more than 180,000 solar panels, and the park covers an area of approximately 151 football pitches. However, there is a particularly close connection to the football ground in Parken, as Andel's Vedde Solar Park now meets large parts of the energy consumption at F.C. Copenhagen's home ground.

Parken Sport & Entertainment has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement with Andel on the solar park, which in the future will cover what corresponds to about half of the group's annual electricity consumption - this applies to Parken and the group's three Lalandia centres.

Increasing the production of renewable energy
All electricity is mixed into the electricity grid, but the agreement ensures that a large part of Parken's consumption is matched by solar energy. In this way, Parken directly contributes to the construction of more renewable energy in Denmark.

"For F.C. Copenhagen, it is important to take an active part in the green transition, and that is why we have allied ourselves with Andel, Denmark's leading energy group," says F.C. Copenhagen's CEO, Jacob Lauesen.

"We are very proud that we are now taking an important step in the energy optimisation of our home stadium. At the same time, we are contributing to increasing the production of renewable energy in Denmark. Hopefully, this can also inspire others."

The partnership with Andel is part of F.C. Copenhagen's project, ForKBH, which aims to increase the club's social engagement and contribution to the Danish capital.

With the energy partnership, F.C. Copenhagen and Andel will jointly implement solutions that optimise energy in Parken. Charging stations have already been set up around the stadium, which subsequently now boasts one of Copenhagen's largest charging parks. More initiatives are being rolled out.

Do you want to optimise your energy?
If you are a customer of Andel Energi, you can choose to get SolEnergi. This way you are guaranteed that your annual electricity consumption is covered by power from Andel Vedde Solar Park. No electricity company can guarantee 100% green electricity in the socket, but you can get guarantees that your electricity consumption will be covered by power from the sun.
