Lions to face Astra after beating Crusaders

FC Copenhagen will play Romanian side Astra Giurgiu in the Champions League third-round qualifying stage after beating Crusaders 9-0 on aggregate.

The Lions took a 3-0 lead back to Telia Parken after last week’s victory in Northern Ireland and saw off the challenge of the Belfast side.

Andrija Pavlovic scored 14 minutes into the clash before an Andrew Mitchell own goal put the Lions two up at the break.

Andreas Cornelius and Rasmus Falk extended the lead by the hour mark, with a Jan Gregus free-kick and Cornelius’ header rounding off the victory.

FCK will travel to Giurgiu for the first leg of their third-round tie on Wednesday 27 July.

Copenhagen will then host the Romanian champions in Telia Parken a week later on 3 August.
