Achouri looking forward to Parken return

F.C. Copenhagen's Elias Achouri is looking forward to tonight's return to Parken Stadium as the Lions face FC Drita in UEFA Champions League qualifying.

Having scored in the Superliga season opener at Viborg last Friday, Achouri's attention now turns to European action.

"It will be great to get into Parken again, where we already met the fans last Saturday for the HSV friendly and where the atmosphere was absolutely incredible," says the Tunisian.

"I hope it will be the same for Drita, and I'm sure that we will get fantastic support as always.

"Drita are a team we have to beat, but we also have to show respect. The best way to do that is to be fully focused on the match and then secure a good win before the return match.

"We at least know what it's all about, because a place in the Champions League group stage is one of our big goals. I really hope we can qualify for that again," concludes Elias Achouri, who scored his ninth FCK goal in 81 games on Friday.

Achouri joined FCK from Viborg in the summer of 2023 and his goal last Friday was his ninth in 81 appearances for the club.

Reflecting on the season-opener, he adds: "It is still special for me to come back to Viborg, where I played in my first season in Denmark, but now I am here in F.C. Copenhagen and it's my job now to do everything I can to defeat them.

"I haven't had any injuries or problems (this summer) and I'm completely ready for this season. I'm of course happy about that. It's a good feeling, and we also got off to a good start with a win and also a good match for me personally."
