FCK extend adidas partnership to 2020

FC Copenhagen can confirm our relationship with kit sponsors adidas will continue for another four years.

FCK and adidas agreed a four-year partnership in 2012 with high ambitions for a strong and long-lasting cooperation.

Now, Scandinavia’s biggest club and the world’s largest sports brand will embark on a new joint chapter on and off the field.

FCK administrative director Anders Hørsholt told FCK.dk about the decision.

- This is an important agreement for us and we are very happy and proud of it. It is the biggest deal we have made in this area in FC Copenhagen's history and it shows that our commercial value helps a global brand like adidas engage further in partnership with us.

- At the same time the contract length is important as it creates opportunities for the further development of an already good relationship in the future.

Lars Rønne, adidas Denmark’s Nordic head of marketing and communications said: - FC Copenhagen is Scandinavia's biggest club and the perfect match for adidas.

- We have been pleased with the first four years and see a huge potential in strengthening our cooperation in the future.

- FC Copenhagen’s values and vision suit adidas' brand and football strategy and therefore an extension of the partnership has been a high priority.

The agreement means FC Copenhagen remain included in an exclusive group of clubs with the three classic adidas stripes on the jerseys. Other European giants such as Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Juventus and AC Milan play in adidas kits.
