'The perfect result' vs Vejle – Neestrup
F.C. Copenhagen head coach Jacob Neestrup says Saturday's 2-0 win over Vejle was the "perfect result" for the Lions, even if the performance wasn't totally to his liking.
Lukas Lerager and Jordan Larsson put FCK two up within 26 minutes and, while the hosts couldn't add more to entertain the 22,403 fans in Parken, it was nevertheless the desired result.

"It was a perfect result, and I think we deserved to win," says Neestrup. "But it was far from a perfect performance.
"We were too slack on their long balls and our defence was not quite in place. We gave away too many corners and set pieces, so we gave them the opportunities to score, but not many really big chances. So in the end we still won relatively comfortably.

"There were also good things to take away – we had several good conversions, which led to the second goal, and we could have led by more. Vejle also have an exciting team with many talented and confident players.
"But this is a typically game that comes in the middle of this period of European qualifiers, where we have to rotate a bit to get through the tight schedule. It may break the rhythm a bit, but we win our games and that's ultimately the most important thing. We didn't always do that last year in these types of games."

FCK are now unbeaten in 12 games (W11 D1) stretching to the end of last season's double-winning campaign. Next up is Tuesday's UEFA Champions League second-round qualifier at FC Drita, before an away trip in the Superliga to FC Fredericia on Friday.
