Thomas Kristensen joins F.C. Copenhagen

F.C. Copenhagen has made the first signing for the new season: the talented midfielder Thomas Kristensen from FC Nordsjaelland has signed a 4 year-contract. At first, the transfer was supposed to take place at the end of the year, when Kristensens present contract expired, but today the clubs have agreed on an immediate transfer.

Thomas Kristensen will travel with the team to Belfast on Wednesday, and F.C. Copenhagen expects that he will get his license in time to be eligible for the UEFA Cup-game against Cliftonvill on Thursday night.

The 25 year old midfielder - who will wear the no. 16-jersey in Copenhagen - made his debut for the Danish National team this spring, when he was in the starting formation in a friendly 1-1-draw against The Czech Republic in Herning in March. Later he played the last 27 minutes against Poland in another 1-1-draw in Chorzoe in June.
