Pre-season 2015

Pre-season 2015

Training after the winter break began on January 12 and after two weeks in Copenhagen – and a friendly against Brønshøj – the team flew to the Algarve in Portugal for a 10-day training camp.

The trip also included three games in the Atlantic Cup 2015 against Dynamo Moscow (1-2), FK Baumit Jablonec (0-2) and FK Mladá Boleslav (4-2). The team returned to Copenhagen on February 8 and played their final friendly against Gothenburg (1-1).?

Players in/out
During the winter break three new players have arrived:
- Ludwig Augustinsson, defender from IFK Gothenburg
- Kevin Foley, defender from Wolverhampton
- Björn Sigurdarson, striker on loan from Wolverhampton

A number of players have also left the club:
- Claudemir sold to Club Brugge
- Franco Mussis sold to San Lorenzo
- Alexander Kacaniklic returned to Fulham after end of loan
- Jakob Busk on loan to Sandefjord
- Mads Aaquist, contract terminated
- Pierre Bengtsson to Mainz 05 after end of contract

Daniel Amartey
Daniel Amartey could not take part in the winter preparations with his teammates, as he was selected to Ghana’s national team for Africa Cup of Nations. He had never been capped before the tournament but made his debut in the first game of the group stages and made a very good impression. He also started the next two games before he was sidelined with a minor injury. However, he was still part of the squad that qualified for the final and only lost to Cote d’Ivoir after a dramatic penalty shoot-out. Daniel is now back in Copenhagen and ready to compete for a place in the starting line-up.

Injuries
Steve De Ridder missed a couple of friendly matches due to a minor leg injury, but he’s also back in business, and two of our talented young players, Christoffer Remmer and Mikkel Wohlgemuth, are also fit after injuries.

The only long-term injured players right now are Kris Stadsgaard and Bashkim Kadrii.
