Lions lose to Zagreb

FC Copenhagen’s last game of their pre-season training camp ended in defeat to Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.

Striker Federico Santander spurned three chances to net for the Lions.

And Benjamin Verbic also went wide with a tricky effort after neat build-up play down the right wing.

But Zagreb broke the deadlock with eight minutes remaining when Daniel Olmo swept home from he edge of the area to round off a well worked free-kick routine.




The game was also Slovakia midfielder Jan Gregus’ unofficial debut for FCK.

Copenhagen will now head back to Denmark to prepare for their Champions League second qualifying round trip to Belfast side Crusaders next Wednesday.
