Lions draw Crusaders in Champions League

FC Copenhagen will head to Belfast for the first leg of their Champions League second qualification round with Crusaders.

The Lions were paired with the Northern Ireland champions Crusaders during UEFA’s draw this morning.

The first leg will take place in Belfast on Wednesday 13 July, kick off 19.45 UK time.

Copenhagen will then host Crusaders at Telia Parken on Tuesday 19 July.

“It sounds like an OK draw,” said FCK manager Ståle Solbakken.

“I do not know Crusaders yet but now we will of course begin to prepare for the game.

“It certainly could have been worse. Drawing IFK Norrkoping for example, who are a good team who are already playing their season and also play on artificial turf.”
