Lars Jacobsen will stay for the rest of the season

Danish International full back Lars Jacobsen has decided to leave F.C. Copenhagen next summer, when his contract expires.

- We could have made a profit by selling him during the winter, but our priority is to maintain the highest possible level during the spring in order to win the Danish championship again. Therefore Lars Jacobsen will stay until the end of his contract-period, says sports director Carsten V. Jensen.

- I'm happy to say that Lars Jacobsen has accepted this and has expressed a great desire to make his contribution to our efforts to win the title, says Carsten V. Jensen.

Lars Jacobsen made his debut for F.C. Copenhagen in the spring 2004 and during his stay, he has won 2 national championships and one cup title. He began his career with OB Odense and joined F.C. Copenhagen from Hamburger SV. He has played 139 games for the club and 8 Internationals for Denmark. Furthermore he has set a club record by playing 84 games in a row for F.C. Copenhagen.
