FCK Fan Village set to open in 2022

The Fan Village project at Parken Stadium has developed significantly in recently months – not least thanks to the large number of donations made from F.C. Copenhagen fans, which means there is now a prospect of the club developing a fantastic Fan Village for supporters.

However, this has meant that we cannot obtain the necessary approvals from the authorities within the original schedule for development.

We have therefore, in consultation with Carlsberg and fan representatives, decided to postpone the opening of the FCK Fan Village until the spring of 2022.

Plans expanded and improved
"We are all looking forward to being able to inaugurate the new fan area, which we are sure will lift the whole experience of being in Pakren," says Jacob Lauesen, commercial director of F.C. Copenhagen.

"In short, the plans have been continuously expanded and improved, which has made the process of regulatory approvals take longer than originally planned. We may also have been too optimistic in relation to the time required for a project of this size and the approvals that are needed.

"We will do everything we can to ensure that we deliver a fantastic fan area and that we optimally use the large amount of money we have received in donations from fans, together with the investment from Carlsberg and the club."

A better result in the end
Daniell Askholm, head of fan engagement, said: "The work is running at full speed, and as fast as the authorities can now work.

"We are still developing the project together with Carlsberg and not least our fan representatives, who has submitted a sea of ​​good ideas.

"Among other things, we have received more than 1,400 submitted proposals, and we have recently had fan representatives at Carlsberg to test the types of beer we need in the area.

"It is a pity that we have to wait longer than expected, but we took this decision to create a better result in the end."
