CV: - We expect an aggressive opposition

CV: - A major European evening

After playing away from home in the last two rounds of the UEFA Europa League to Standard Liege and Hannover 96, it's nice to finally be back in our beloved PARKEN home.

We all remember the fantastic climaxes of these big European, and tonight's showdown will be no exception. We come into tonight's match against Hannover just as we did when we visited Germany a fortnight ago, when we proved true to our commitment and earned a tough point.

We go into the match at PARKEN tonight in the knowledge that FC Copenhagen have not lost a European group game at home in eight matches. We have won five games and drawn three. With four points after three played – the situation in Group B at the moment – we retain our own destiny in our hands, and this fact makes this game a key fixture for the right to compete further in the tournament.

Hannover are not just any old club however, and since our last meeting, they have been in good form, beating Bayern Munich in the German Bundesliga. After a period of less welcoming results for us, we have picked up victories against Brøndby in the DBU Cup and an important weekend win in the Superliga over OB Odense.

There will also be a battle for supremacy in the stands, with thousands of German supporters making the pilgrimage to Copenhagen.

With a crowded stadium and Copenhagen fans hopefully in top voice once again, the prospect of an intense and electric atmosphere is very welcoming. Welcome Hannover’s players, managerial staff and fans, as well as the match officials.
