Augustinsson bags debut goal in FCK win

Ludwig Augustinsson scored on his FC Copenhagen debut as the Lions edged past FC Vestsjælland to kick start the spring leg of their Alka Superliga season.

FCK took the lead through Tom Høgli’s deep header that crashed in off the post after a darted cross from Augustinsson.

And the provider turned goalscorer after the break when he dinked home a neat volley after seeing his first drive blocked off the line.

Andreas Cornelius and Nicolai Jørgensen also went close for FCK, the latter forcing a neat tip over the crossbar from Thomas Mikkelsen.

Both sets of teams, officials and supporters held a minute’s silence before the game to mark the tragedy in Copenhagen earlier this month.

The win moves Copenhagen up into second in the Superliga, eight points off leaders FC Midtjylland.
