Pantelis Hatzidiakos joins PAOK F.C.
F.C. Copenhagen can confirm the sale of 29-year-old defender Pantelis Hatzidiakos to PAOK F.C. with immediate effect.
For the first time since his youth, Hatzidiakos is returning home to Greece, where he will play for PAOK F.C in Thessaloniki.
And although the Greece international is looking forward to returning home, it is with a heavy heart that he is leaving F.C. Copenhagen and the Danish capital.
"I would like to send a warm and heartfelt thank you to everyone in and around F.C. Copenhagen - my teammates, the staff and not least the fans, who have always provided incredible support for us. I will always remember my time in Copenhagen as something very special," says Hatzidiakos.
"My son was born in Copenhagen, and my family and I have enjoyed every minute in Denmark. I am proud of what I have achieved with the club - a championship, a cup and the Champions League.
"But now the time has come for a new chapter in my career, and I am returning home for the first time in 15 years. Therefore, I wish you all at F.C. Copenhagen all the best for the future.”
The centre-back joined F.C. Copenhagen in September 2024 and played 85 games for the club in his two seasons in the Danish capital.
All players and staff around the team have now said goodbye to Panta, and F.C. Copenhagen's Director of Football, Kristjaan Speakman, sends him off with warm words.
"Panta contributed to both the championship and cup wins in his first season at F.C. Copenhagen, but recently his playing time has been reduced and we understand his desire to play regularly,” says Speakman.
"We have had some very constructive conversations with him and have now reached a solution that all parties are happy with. We wish Panta all the best and thank him for his time at F.C. Copenhagen.”
Everyone at F.C. Copenhagen wishes Panta the best of luck in the future.
