FCK extend Gustav Fritz contract
F.C. Copenhagen are delighted to announce the extension of 18-year-old goalkeeper Gustav Fritz's contract after his success with the U17 team last season.
Fritz was part of the squad that won the Double for the U17s and development director Morten Grahn said of the extension: "We are pleased that with this agreement we can keep Gustav at F.C. Copenhagen.
"Gustav is a great goalkeeping talent and one of many skilled goalkeepers who have developed strongly in our talent environment in recent years, and who have contributed to youth titles and made their mark on the various youth national teams, as well as taking the step up to the first team.
"This also means that the competition for a place between the posts is significant, which is an important part of the education for future professional footballers.
"Gustav already earned a good insight into senior football this summer when he trained regularly with the first-team squad before and during the training camp in Austria. We look forward to following his further development on the U19 team, which will again play in the Youth League this year."
Fritz played two matches for Denmark's U16 national team and most recently two matches for the U18s last autumn.
