3-0 win in away game in Telia Parken

FC Copenhagen are through to the quarter finals in the Danish Cup following an easy win over 2nd Division neighbours B.93.

B.93's own stadium (right next to Telia Parken) was not ready to play on, so they rented Telia Parken for their home game, which explains why FC Copenhagen was the away team in their normal home ground.

Norwegian striker Julian Kristoffersen started for the first time and could have opened the score after 35 seconds, but the B.93-goalkeeper denied him the early goal.

But halfway through the first half, Kristoffersen gave the Lions the lead when he headed home his first goal following a cross from Tom Høgli.

Only four minutes later Kasper Kusk doubled the lead, after Aboubakar Keita had picked up a loose ball, and Andrija Pavlovic was very close to getting the third, but the keeper managed to get his hands on his header and the ball hit the underside of the crossbar.

Instead, Kusk got the third right after the break, when he coolly slotted the ball home from the edge of the penalty area after a defender had cleared a cross from Høgli.

B.93 also had their opportunities, both in the first and second half, but lacked the last power in their finishing, so Stephan Andersen got another clean sheet for the Danish champions - number 25 for the season (38 competitive games), which is a new club record.

Three of the talented U19-players from FC Copenhagen School Of Excellence came on to the pitch during the second half. Fullback Mads Roerslev and winger Nicklas Røjkjær has played (and scored) before in the Cup, but offensive-player Carlo Holse got his full debut tonight.
