Josefine Svava earns FCK Talent Girls' first Denmark under-age call-up

Josefine Svava has been selected for the Danish U16 national team for two games this September – and in doing so has become the first player from FCK Talent Girls to earn a call-up.

Denmark U16s will respectively face Switzerland and the Netherlands on 9 and 12 September in Holbæk.

"We are proud that F.C. Copenhagen now have our first female Danish national team player, and we are not surprised that Josefine gets the chance," says Romaney Pinnock, Head of Women's Football.

"Josefine is also the first player from FCK Talent Piger (FCK Talent Girls) to have signed a formal contract with the club, and she recently made her debut, at the age of 15, from the start in our cup match in Næstved, which we won 7-0.

"We wish Josefine the best of luck at the national team camp."
