F.C. Copenhagen in the Genuine Cup: Watch our Dream Team's amazing football journey

This summer, the ForKBH Association (Foreningen ForKBH) and the Grundfos Foundation sent our "Dream Team" on the journey of a lifetime to Houston, USA, to participate in the Genuine Cup – one of the world’s largest inclusive football tournaments – alongside teams such as Manchester United, Inter Miami CF and Paris Saint-Germain.

The tournament is the only one of its kind in the world and aims to harness the social power of football to promote the inclusion of athletes with neurodevelopmental disabilities, such as autism.

FCKTV followed the team during before and during the tournament, and you can watch their amazing journey (with English subtitles) above!

Participation in the Genuine Cup marks the first initiative by F.C. Copenhagen’s newly established association, the ForKBH Association, which works to engage more children and young people in the sense of community found in football, bridging cultural and background differences.

The association is a non-profit, independent entity; this status enabled the Torras Foundation to support the Danish team with a special donation covering all expenses – including flights, accommodation, meals, local transport, and tournament entry fees.

Through their participation in the Genuine Cup, F.C. Copenhagen and the ForKBH Association aim to demonstrate how football can foster social inclusion, a sense of belonging, and unforgettable experiences—regardless of an individual's background or circumstances.
