Sean Fetterlein extends FCK contract

F.C. Copenhagn and Sean Fetterlein have agreed to extend the 18-year-old's contract after significant development at FCK Talent.

Fetterlein joined FCK Talent in January 2020 and last season helped the U19s win the title and cup.

Development director Morten Grahn said of the midfielder: "Sean has gone through a positive development in a really good U19 team, where he has experienced both hard and good periods. All young players will always experience performance drops, and they encounter adversity in all kinds of situations – it is a completely natural part of the process and, moreover, important if you are to become a robust player who can make it in the senior game.

“For us, the key lies in how you handle these situations and what mentality and behaviour you use to get through them.

"This is where Sean has developed a lot and proven that he is ready for the final step in our environment.

"Sean is a dynamic midfielder who is good at controlling the game, but can also break lines with passes and drives with the ball. He has put a lot of effort into being physical and has become more intense in his play without the ball.

"He still has a long way to go before he can reach our first team, but we have now agreed that we will work together to solve that."

Fetterlein himself said of the extension: "I am incredibly proud to have signed a new agreement with F.C. Copenhagen. There are many hours of hard work behind it, and I am grateful for the trust the club shows in me.

“I would also like to thank my family, my coaches and all the people around me who have supported me and helped me along the way. At the same time, I see this as the start of a new chapter. I am hungry for more, and a good plan has been laid out for the future, which makes me look forward to continuing my development, working hard every day and taking the next steps towards my goals."
