Goalscorer Maher Carrizo: On the right path

Maher Carrizo secured a draw in Serbia on Thursday night with his great equalizer to make it 2-2 in the match against Crvena Zvezda - a goal that means a lot to the Argentine.

"I'm really happy to have helped the team with my goal. It was a really close match where we had to fight our way into it. I'm grateful for the trust from the coach who gave me the chance today, and I was really looking forward to this moment," says Carrizo, who started for the first time and played 80 minutes in Belgrade.

"Now it's about continuing to work hard and try to win the next matches that lie ahead, both in the league, the cup and in Europe."

Help from teammates
Maher Carrizo has now played four games for the club so far, and is looking forward to settling in even better in the Danish capital thanks to his colleagues in Copenhagen:

"I am very grateful to my teammates and the other South American players who help me every day to integrate and get used to playing for FCK. I am still getting used to the culture and the surroundings, but it is getting better step by step."

"I keep looking forward, and by scoring yesterday and helping the team, I know that I am on the right path," explains the 20-year-old offensive player and continues:

"I still have to work hard, and I will do that every day. It is just about being humble and seizing the opportunities I get."

The next task for Carrizo and Co. is a home game against OB in Parken on Monday at 7 p.m.
