Watch: Lerager goal vs Vejle
Lukas Lerager scored the goal of the game as F.C. Copenhagen beat Vejle 4-0 on Sunday to top the Superliga table heading into the international break.
The midfielder hit a thunderbolt from distance in the 18th minute to set the Lions on their way to three points.
"We talked before the match about it being important to win before we went into the international break, and that they would probably have plenty of energy after they changed head coach the other day, so we needed a safe victory today," said Lerager.
"The schedule of playing two games a week since the start of the season is of course demanding, but we've got a really good flow in the team and have had it during many games.
"It was also good for the team to have four different goalscorers today."
