Copenhagen sign new right back

Vetokele joins FCK

FC Copenhagen can today announce they have signed 20-year-old striker Igor Vetokele on a four-year contract. The Belgian moves to Copenhagen from Cercle Bruges, and played against FCK in a training game this summer.

Copenhagen sporting director Carsten V. Jensen spoke to FCK.dk about Vetokele’s arrival:

- We are very pleased to welcome Igor to Copenhagen. We have followed him closely since our pre-season training match with Cercle Bruges and are convinced of his qualities and his great potential both as a team player and goalscorer.

- Igor will provide a strong physical presence, speed, quality on the ball and great areal ability, and he can play both on the wing and up front. Now we have to do everything we can to make Igor feel at home in Copenhagen and in the squad. Hopefully we will soon see him on the pitch.

Igor Vetokele will attend tonight's UEFA Champions League play-off match in PARKEN against LOSC Lille. Kick off is 20:45 CET.
