Verbic penalty not enough against Nordsjælland

Benjamin Verbic scored his first Alka Superliga goal since October but FCK had to settle for a point against Nordsjælland in Telia Parken.

Verbic fired home from the penalty spot after Marcus Ingvartsen fouled Andreas Cornelius during a corner routine.

But Ingvartsen atoned for his error almost immediately when he beat the offside trap and let loose a shot that crossed the line after hitting the woodwork twice.

The draw sees FCK’s Superliga lead cut to 10 points after Brøndby beat Lyngby this afternoon.

Next up for Copenhagen is a trip to second-place Brøndby on Easter Monday.
