Squad selection for Prague

Squad selection for Prague

The FC Copenhagen players and coaching staff head for Prague today, where the Lions face a tough task to overcome a 3-1 deficit suffered at the hands of FC Viktoria Plzen in PARKEN a week ago.

A place in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League is at stake for the winning side over two legs. Roland Nilsson’s men go into the tie in the knowledge they need to win by three clear goals to progress.

The last time Copenhagen played a competitive match in the Czech capital, they faced a tricky Sparta Prague side. That was back in December 2009, where two goals from Dame N’Doye and a Jesper Grønkjær penalty secured a 3-0 win.

Claudemir – who suffered an injury during the match last week – is not travelling with the squad. Martin Bergvold has therefore stepped up as his replacement. Nilsson has selected 19 players for tomorrow's match at the Eden Stadium, where the team will train this evening at 18:00 CEST.

The 19 are:

1 - Kim Christensen

3 - Pierre Bengtsson

5 - Sölvi Ottesen

7 - Martin Bergvold

8 - Christian Grindheim

9 - Morten Nordstrand

11 - César Santin

13 - Pape Pate Diouf

14 - Dame N'Doye

15 - Johnny Thomsen

16 - Thomas Kristensen

17 - Ragnar Sigurdsson

19 - Bryan Oviedo

21 - Johan Wiland

22 - Johan Absalonsen

25 - Mathias Zanka

26 - Cristian Gamboa

27 - Thomas Delaney

30 - Christian Bolaños
