Squad returning for friendlies

The FC Copenhagen squad has already resumed training at Number 10, in preparation for their first Superliga game of the new season against SønderjyskE on 17 July. While many of the players have returned for training, some have been granted extra leave due to national team commitments.


Therefore, Dame N'Doye, Johan Wiland, Christian Grindheim and Pierre Bengtsson are all yet to return, but are due back on Monday 27 June. Meanwhile Mathias Zanka, Christian Bolaños, Bryan Oviedo, Thomas Delaney and Kenneth Zohore are on leave until 4 July, when the team has a training camp in Austria. Last but not least, Ragnar Sigurdsson is set to meet his new team-mates for the first time on Friday.


Four friendly matches


Thursday 30 June stands as the first real test for new coach Roland Nillson, with Swedish side Helsingborgs IF hosting a friendly. During FCK’s training camp in Austria – which starts on Saturday 2 July – the squad will play two friendly matches against Sturm Graz (4 July) and FC Volga Novorod (7 July).


On 20 July at. 20:00, as previously announced, FCK will be back in PARKEN to receive English visitors, when West Ham come to town.
