FC Copenhagen were pegged back in their chase for the Superliga title by a resilient SønderjyskE last Friday night.

Goalkeeper Martin Skender prevented one-on-one efforts from Youssef Toutouh, Igor Vetokele and Rurik Gislason as the Lions struggled to find a way past the inspired SJE stopper.

Vetokele missed a hat-trick of chances before the hour mark, Skender saving each one-on-one opportunity, while the keeper also blocked Rurik Gislason's close effort to keep FCK at bay.

Toutouh strolled past the SønderjyskE defence midway through the second half only for Skender to again cover his team-mates, while at the other end Johan Wiland proved of equal value when the Copenhagen goalkeeper tipped Johan Absalonsen's late effort on the counter attack round his left-hand post.

The goalless draw leaves FCK seven point behind league leaders FC Midtjylland. Next up for Ståle Solbakken's side is a home clash with Randers on Sunday.
