Santander strike keeps FCK on course for title

Federico Santander’s fifth league goal of the spring saw FC Copenhagen edge past OB and maintain their charge for the Alka Superliga title.

Santander redirected Andreas Cornelius’ back-post header into the net after beating the offside trap.

Cornelius and Nicolai Jørgensen both blazed wide before Santander struck 40 minutes into the clash.

At the other end Robin Olsen clawed away Ari Skulanson’s strike as OB sought a leveller, while Santander almost netted a second with a header from a corner late on in the game.

The win maintains FCK’s seven-point lead over second-place SønderjyskE with just five games of the season remaining.

Next up for Copenhagen is an away trip to AaB on Thursday (20.00 kick off) before hosting Nordsjælland the following Monday in Telia Parken.
