Positive performance in PARKEN

Players away on international duty

The international break is upon us, where players leave their club sides and head off to respective nations as European Championship qualifiers take priority across the continent.

Denmark are set to face Norway in PARKEN on 6 September, with two spots for Euro 2012 qualification still up for grabs in group H. Both sides are on 10 points, along with Portugal, after five games.

After a terrific start to the season, FC Copenhagen’s Morten Nordstrand has played himself back into the heat of the Danish national team, and the crafty striker can look forward to playing against FCK’s Norwegian midfielder Christian Grindheim. Grindheim has also been selected for his country ahead of Norway’s other qualifier against Iceland on 2 September.

In Denmark’s U-21 side, both Thomas Delaney and Mathias Zanka are preparing for their clash against Northern Ireland on 6 September.

Dame N'Doye and Johan Wiland have also been selected for their respective national sides, respectively facing DR Congo and Hungary.

N'Doye will be looking to get on the Senegal scoresheet on Friday against DR Congo.
