Parken surpasses one million guests in 2023

Parken Stadium has welcomed more than one million spectators through its turnstiles already this year, breaking a new record for Denmark's national stadium.

Parken plays host to F.C. Copenhagen matches and is the main venue for Denmark's men's national team. It is also a concert venue, with the likes of Depeche Mode and Coldplay playing this summer.

Tallene for 2020 og 2021 er ikke medtaget på grund af Covid 19-restriktioner - og 2023-tallet er efter Vejle-kampen.

It is the first time in the 30 years since Parken's construction that more than a million spectators have visited the ground.

In comparison, 527,727 fans attended events here in 2018 and last year that figure rose to 756,000.

Doubling in five years
Attendance figures in Parken have doubled since 2018 and we still have five FCK home matches to come before the year is out. This includes a sold-out derby with Brøndby and the visit of Manchester United and Galatasaray to the capital. Denmark's EURO qualifier with Slovenia on 17 November is also a sell-out.

"It's fantastic that we have already reached such a big milestone by October. It is historic and proves that Parken is the Danes' home ground when it comes to football and big stadium concerts," says FCK director Jacob Lauesen.

The one-million figure was surpassed after the recent Superliga game between F.C. Copenhagen and Vejle.

"We are constantly trying to optimise the experience across all areas of the ground. It's about service, food and drink, and a whole range of other things," continues Jacob.

"It is a strategic goal for us to raise the overall experience. We have invested in a significant improvement of the food offering here, and of our hospitality with new restaurants. We have several initiatives on the way, while we are constantly trying to test new initiatives to make it even better.

"We are far from finished with that work, but the development is extremely positive. We are still looking forward to the rest of 2023, where big Champions League evenings, top matches in the Superliga and an international match await. Hopefully our attendance record is emphatically broken.

"At the same time, an exciting 2024 is already shaping up, with many great experiences in store with more concerts, international matches and big FCK games. We are very much looking forward to that already."

FCK's next home match is on Tuesday against FC Midtjylland in the Danish Cup. Tickets are still available, with the game kicking off at 8:15pm.
