Özdogan departs club

Saban Özdogan and FC Copenhagen have agreed to part company, with the midfielder's contract being terminated at the close of 2011.

Özdogan, who played 12 professional games for the Lions, is now free to find a new club. FCK Sporting Director Carsten V. Jensen spoke to FCK.DK about the departure:

- We have terminated the agreement with Saban half a year before its expiration because we do not want to stand in the way of his ambitions to try his hand at a new club. We would like to thank Saban for his many years at both FC Copenhagen and KB, and we wish him the best of luck with his future career.

21-year-old Özdogan came to KB from Avarta in 1999 and has been at the club ever since. He made his debut for the first team in Copenhagen’s 2006 Royal League clash against Norwegian side Lillestrøm. In total, Özdogan played 12 games for FCK, in the Superliga, DBU Cup, Royal League and European competition.
