One step nearer the Cup final

After an hour it looked like an easy win for Copenhagen after two goals by Fredrik Berglund, but 1st Division-leaders Lyngby fought back and equalized - but Hjalte Nørregaard got the winner with a diving header four minutes before the end.

As usual the champions dominated the game from the start but in spite of several good chances, they had to wait until the middle of the first half before scoring. William Kvist stole the ball from a Lyngby-player on the middle of their half and quickly found Berglund, who scored with a dry shot from the edge of the area.

Fredrik Berglund - double goalscorer against Lyngby

Six minutes into the second half Berglund got his second after a beautiful long pass from Brede Hangeland, and the Suede coolly lifted the ball over the keeper. Even though the talented Lyngby-side had played a good game, it looked like another day at the office for the champions, but the homeside fought back and was rewarded after 62 minutes, when Morten Christiansen scored after a nice build-up in the left side.

Even though Copenhagen had a couple of big chances and still dominated the play, Lyngby was rewarded for the offensive approach and got the equalizer six minutes before the final whistle through Christian Holst. But just two minutes later, Copenhagen took advantage of a set-piece-situation - William Kvist took a long throw-in, Gravgaard flicked it on, and Hjalte Nørregaard scored with a diving header.

The second leg will take place in PARKEN next Wednesday. In the other semifinal, Viborg won 2-1 in Odense against OB.
