One draw, one win, one defeat

F.C. Copenhagen has started the defence of the Danish Title with three matches in July, and until now the points total is four after one win, one draw and one defeat.

GAME ONE was the bitter defeat in the season opener against FC Nordsjælland - with the goal coming in the 92nd minute ...

GAME TWO was played in Aalborg. The hosts from AaB started very good and also produced the better part of the chances. Early in the second half came the opening goal, when Nomwethe scored for the home side. After this F.C. Copenhagen put on the pressure, and they equalised in the 70th minute when Norwegian International Brede Hangeland headed in the 1-1 goal. AaB had been the better side for most of the match, but at the end – it was F.C. Copenhagen who came closest to getting all the points, but the game ended 1-1, a fair result for both teams.

In GAME THREE game the first win of the new SAS Liga Season. F.C. Copenhagen defeated Viborg FF 3-1 at home in PARKEN.

F.C. Copenhagen played a brilliant first half, and had quite some chances, but as the clock approached half time, the score was still 0-0. Then just before half time something exiting happened. Atiba Hutchinson first stole the ball from a Viborg defender and made it 1-0, and just seconds later Morten Nordstrand made his first goal in the SAS Liga for F.C. Copenhagen and made it 2-0.

In the second half F.C. Copenhagen seemed to cruise to victory, but a goal in the 78th minute to Viborg brought back some excitement in the game, and in the 85th minute the crowd started to get nervous as Ailton Almeida was sent off. But Viborg never really came close, and instead Morten Nordstrand doubled his scoring at he made it 3-1 on a breakaway in the final minute of the game, and made sure that all three point would stay in Copenhagen.

So the three matches in July resulted in four points and a 5th place in the SAS Liga standings.
