Neestrup reacts to FCK 4-0 Hvidovre

F.C. Copenhagen claimed a 4-0 victory over Hvidovre on Saturday in front of 22,718 fans in Parken Stadium.

Goals from Lukas Lerager and Viktor Claesson inside 12 minutes had the Lions motoring ahead before the break, while Roony Bardghji and Orri Óskarsson found the net in the second half.

Speaking after the game, FCK head coach Jacob Neestrup said: "We did a very professional job today.

"We were very solid defensively and didn't come close to giving away any chances throughout the game. We could have scored many more goals ourselves. We were good on the ball in general and we had a good balance between holding back and playing direct, while we were really good in our finishing.

"Hvidovre are a slightly atypical team towards the bottom of the table because they press extremely high, which means that if you play out of their first pressure it can almost feel like you have a chance, and I think we hurt them here.

"I am very satisfied that we won so convincingly and that we were solid both with and without the ball. Everyone knew it was an important match. Not bigger than the one against Manchester United, but more important.

"Everyone gave their all and maybe a little more, and there is a lot of hunger in this team. We want to win the Superliga and the cup again, and play in the Champions League again, so you have to win your matches.

"We will have to see in the coming days about Achouri and Elyounoussi, but we hope that it is nothing serious."

Next up for FCK is Tuesday's Danish Cup match at home to FC Midtjylland, which kicks off at 8:15pm.
