Lions sell Oviedo to Everton

FC Copenhagen have reached an agreement with English Premier League club Everton over the transfer of Bryan Oviedo. The Costa Rican has flown to England to negotiate personal terms and undergo a medical before finalising the deal.

FCK sporting director Carsten V. Jensen spoke to FCK.dk about the transfer:

- We are pleased with the development Bryan has gone through at FCK. He came to us directly from Costa Rica and it has been a pleasure to see him continually raise his level of ability. The deal with Everton is also satisfactory for FC Copenhagen; we see it as a good piece of business carried out and can now send him on to the world’s best league wishing Bryan all the best of luck in England.

Oviedo himself told FCK.dk of his gratification for all he has learned at Copenhagen:

- I am very happy for the opportunity I now get to play in the world’s biggest league. It’s really hard for me to leave FC Copenhagen because the club has meant so much to me and aided my development. I certainly could have seen myself at Copenhagen and PARKEN for a long time, but a switch to a historic club in the Premier League is a dream now fulfilled. I owe the club, my teammates and the fans of FCK so much and I will miss them all.

22-year-old Bryan Oviedo played 46 games for FC Copenhagen, scoring two goals.
