Copenhagen sign new right back

Lions downed in Farum Park

FC Copenhagen’s four-game unbeaten run came to an end on Sunday when goalkeeper Kim Christensen scored own goal to hand FC Nordsjælland a 1-0 win at Farum Park.

Christensen dived for a Morten Nordstrand header 18 minutes from time but could only watch as the ball hit his left-hand post, rebounded onto his arm and trickled into the back of the net.

Thomas Kristensen and Christian Bolaños both tested FCN keeper David Jensen, while Andreas Cornelius headed wide FCK’s best chance.

Christensen, meanwhile, produced fine saves from Mario Ticinovic and blocked a Nordstrand one-on-one effort before suffering his unlucky fate 18 minutes from time.

After the game Ståle Solbakken spoke to FCKTV and confirmed centre-half Kris Stadsgaard injured his ankle during the game, although the defender is not yet ruled out of the Brøndby match next weekend.

- I don’t think we were good in the first half where we played on the ground but did not move the ball quick enough. We lost our rhythm.

- In the second half we played much better and controlled the game for large periods but FCN have some good attacks, so it could have gone either way - but it didn’t go ours today.

- The first half was not good enough. In the second half we played sensibly and created four great chances, but so did they and they’re better at using them than we are. We had some huge opportunities in the second half.

- But it was on the cards that the first goal would be crucial – and they got it and that makes life difficult for us.
