Kristensen agrees new deal

FC Copenhagen have today agreed to extend Thomas Kristensen’s contract, so that it now runs until the summer of 2014. Kristensen arrived at the club in 2008 and has since played 107 games for the Lions.

FCK Director of Sport Carsten V. Jensen commented on the contract:

- Thomas is a quality player with great running capacity and a fine eye for the game. It is not easy to move from a smaller club to FC Copenhagen and immediately be able to adapt to the level of training and matches, but Thomas has handled it smoothly. Thomas has done very well since his arrival: making it a great pleasure for me that Thomas has decided to dedicate his best football years to the white shirt of FC Copenhagen.

Kristensen himself was available to describe his delight at the new deal:

- I have been for some time considering my options and am very pleased that it has ended up with me extending my contract here. I'm really happy to be at the club and look forward to competing for several more Danish championships and of course qualification for the UEFA Champions League this autumn. I've had some playing time this spring and I look forward to continuing my development at Denmark's best club.
