Kasper Kusk scores twice in Lions victory

Kasper Kusk scored two second-half goals to round off a convincing Alka Superliga victory for FC Copenhagen over FC Nordsjælland.

Kusk side-footed his first off the post on 63 minutes after running onto a superb through-ball from Rasmus Falk.

And the midfielder bagged his second in emphatic style when volleying home Andrija Pavlovic’s flick.

Pavlovic himself opened the scoring 21 minutes in when turning in the box to fire past goalkeeper Runar Runarsson after Thomas Delaney’s penetrating run instigated the move.

And Falk’s delightful effort from the edge of the area before halftime ensured FCK were well on their way to victory before Kusk popped up with his double.

The win continues Copenhagen’s 100 per cent start to the new league season as attention now turns towards Europe.

FCK face Romanian side Astra Giurgiu on Wednesday in the third round of Champions League qualifying, having drawn the first leg 1-1 away from home.
