Jørgensen and Toutouh fire Lions past Hobro

Goals from Nicolai Jørgensen and Youssef Toutouh put Thursday night’s Europa League blow firmly behind FC Copenhagen as the Lions battled past Hobro IK in Jutland.

Jørgensen opened the scoring with a neatly placed shot on the turn mid-way through the first half, before Toutouh secured the points from close range late on.

Andreas Cornelius also went close for FCK, while Stephan Andersen got down well to a Martin Thomsen drive to keep Hobro at bay - although Quincy Antipas had a credible claim for a second-half penalty.

The win lifts Copenhagen into third place in the Superliga, level on points with Randers and seven behind leaders FC Midtjylland.

The Lions now travel to Roskilde on Thursday for their opening DBU Cup clash of the season.
