Swedish International goalkeeper Johan Wiland has signed a 5 year-contract with F.C. Copenhagen from January 2009. Until then the 27 year old Wiland stays with his current club, the Swedish club Elfsborg IF.
Johan Wiland has been a regular with Elfsborg since 2001, and he has played 3 internationals for Sweden and also was a member of their Euro 2008-squad.
Sports director Carsten V. Jensen says:
- We already have strong goalkeepers, but it is a key position, and it's not every day we get the opportunity to sign a class player at this position. Therefore, we are very happy with the contract with Johan.
Johan Wiland will join the squad from January 2009.
