Jacobsen: - West Ham may offer style

Jacobsen's season not over yet

FC Copenhagen’s experienced right-back Lars Jacobsen had to retire from Sunday’s clash with AC Horsens with injury. The defender came off so as not to exacerbate any damage suffered in his right thigh, which he slightly tore midway through the second half.

Jacobsen was replaced by Mathias Zanka, and went straight to the physio to receive treatment on the tear. It appears the injury may not be as bad as first seemed, with the right-back potentially able to return to action as early as this coming Sunday.

On Monday, the extent of the damage was fully assessed. Jacobsen was on hand to speak to FCK.DK about the injury:

- I felt my muscle tense up in the rear of my thigh. In such a situation, you always fear the worst, but fortunately it's not so bad. I hope that I will be ready again in a week or so. But if I am OK I may be able to face AaB at the end of the week.

Copenhagen's number 2 has played every major match for the club of 2012.
