Hørsholt: - It's a feeling you never get tired of

Even with seven games still to play in the Superliga, FC Copenhagen can already call themselves the 2011 Danish Champions. That the championship has been decided so incredibly early confirms that it has been an unparalleled season of success in FC Copenhagen's history, let alone in Danish Superliga football.

It is now the ninth time that we have stood and lifted the championship trophy, and it's a feeling you never get tired of. Preparations to achieve this for the tenth time are already in full swing, and it probably won’t come as a great surprise to know that, here at FC Copenhagen we have ambitions that, next season, we will round off our anniversary with ten trophies.

We are not afraid to announce that, at the European level, our target is again to qualify for group stage of UEFA Champions League. We created history with our participation in the last 16 against Chelsea FC and with the experience we gained this year, we are in the hunt for new European triumphs.

We know that Ståle Solbakken and three or four players will leave the club at the end of this season. This situation we've known about for quite some time and the work to replace them has been on-going, which has already resulted in tangible player inclusions; plus we know that the coach to lead us to new success will be Roland Nilsson.

It is quite clear that the year's triumphs have not been an anomaly. Carsten V. Jensen and Ståle Solbakken have been working on the structure around the squad and its playing style for a long time, which means that we can meet both national and international goals over several seasons.

We are very conscious of the great obligation that now lies in making our future even brighter. There is a lot of potential for FC Copenhagen, which in the future we will exploit. Overall, FC Copenhagen is in the process of identifying and prioritising the many areas that we haven’t targeted as yet, to enhance FC Copenhagen commercially. I am sure that the targeted work will soon be visible to all and that it will help to ensure we can continue to meet our very high level of ambition.

I would like to sincerely thank our many loyal fans and sponsors who have supported us so fantastically this season: a commitment that has had a decisive influence on our results both on and off the pitch. We are pleased to give you even more great experiences to come.

Sincerely,

Anders Hørsholt
