FC Copenhagen underwent their first training session of the spring season inside Telia Parken today.

Along with the familiar members of the squad was new midfielder Uros Matic, who agreed a permanent move to the Lions last month.

Discussing his new surroundings, the Serbian said: “It was fine and the boys have embraced me. I also talked a lot with Andrija Pavlovic about the club.

“I have a holiday home in Belgrade and have been with my family, so I had a very long trip to Copenhagen the other day.

“I left home from at 9am but arrived at 10pm because of snow and delays. It really is winter in Serbia with temperatures around -15 degrees, so I was very surprised to come here and discover that it is not colder!

“My wife and my two-and-a-half-year-old son are not here with me yet, they will come once our pre-season is finished, so of course I miss them, but that's football.

“It will be OK.”

Federico Santander was also back in training as he continues his recovery from a hamstring problem that kept him out of the latter stages of the autumn season.

The only players not at Telia Parken were Danny Amankwaa and Benjamin Verbic, who are both recovering from injury.
