FC Copenhagen sign Pieros Sotiriou

24-year old striker Pieros Sotiriou from APOEL FC will join FC Copenhagen from the next season on a 5-year contract.

He has had a very strong season with APOEL FC in the Cypriot League and at the European scene with 23 goals in 43 matches.

- We have found a forward with a wide range of skills, who in many ways has the right profile for an FCK-forward. He is physically strong, works hard offensively as well as defensively and he combines it with an impressive scoring record. He brings international experience with him and has proved that he can perform under high pressure at top level. We are thrilled we have been able to sign him for Copenhagen, and we look forward to working with him and developing him even more, says manager Ståle Solbakken.

- It’s no secret that we expect to sell one of our other forwards this summer, but this signing signals that we still want to be competitive at international level. It shows we are ready to invest when it’s necessary and we have the right opportunity, says director Anders Hørsholt.
