F.C. Copenhagen-Hércules 1-1 (0-1)

F.C. Copenhagen ended the training camp in La Manga with a 1-1-draw against local Spanish team Hércules CF.

Hércules opened the game best, but gradually FCK came back, and after 23 minutes Marcus Allbäck got the first big chance, but missed from close range. A couple of set-pieces also resulted in dangerous situations, but it was Hércules who took the lead after half an hour.

Both teams made several changes during the interval, and the first 20 minutes of the second half were a bit messy. Mads Laudrup showed good skills on the midfield, but it was Brazilian newcomer Ailton who got on the scoresheet again – just as he did against Basel on Sunday. After a period where he seemed to be out of the game, Berglund found him on the corner of the penalty area, and Ailton promptly hammered the ball up in the corner of the net without a chance for the keeper. Two minutes later he was close again, but he and his teammates had to settle for another draw after a good and satisfying stay in southern Spain.

Berglund (9) assisted Ailton (7) with the equalizer.

The team returns to Copenhagen on Thursday, and for a couple of days Ståle Solbakken will have a full squad available. Five Danish league international players has been absent from the training camp, while playing friendlies for Denmark in USA, El Salvador and Honduras.

Next week Jesper Christiansen, Lars Jacobsen, Michael Gravgaard, Niclas Jensen and Jesper Grønkjær will go to London with the A international team for a friendly against Australia, and Tobias Linderoth and Marcus Allbäck travel to Cairo to play for Sweden against Egypt. Hopefully all will be back next Thursday and be fit to begin the preparations for the Royal League-clash against Brøndby on Sunday the 11th February.
