FC Copenhagen beat Brøndby in the derby

Kasper Kusk’s first-half finish earned FC Copenhagen a narrow 1-0 win over Brøndby in the derby.

Kusk slotted home on 13 minutes after being laid off by Youssef Toutouh.

Andreas Cornelius twice went close for the Lions, while Federico Santander slammed a shot onto the woodwork.

At the other end Kamil Wilczek spurned BIF’s best chance, while Robin Olsen was on hand to deny Zsolt Kalmár and Teemu Pukki.

The win continues FCK’s unbeaten season to 26 games with just three matches in the Alka Superliga remaining.

Copenhagen will play Brøndby one last time in the DBU Cup final on 25 May.
