DBU Cup tie confirmed

In the next round of the DBU Cup FC Copenhagen will face defending Cup winners FC Nordsjælland in PARKEN.

The date of the game has now been confirmed, to be played on Thursday 24 November. Kick off time is 20:00 Danish time. The Cup is beginning to hot up now, with the winner of this quarter final clash going into the two-legged semi finals to be played in the spring.

Nordsjælland have been Cup winners for the past two seasons, and will be looking to make history by raising the trophy aloft for a third consecutive year. No team in the Cup’s 57-year history has managed this feat.

FCK meanwhile last won the trophy in 2009. Last season the Lions were knocked out by AC Horsens in a thrilling game in the Danish capital. A goal each by Thomas Kristensen and Mathis Zanka wasn’t enough to overcome Horsens, who ran out 4-2 winners but were defeated themselves by FCN in the following round.
