Copenhagen lose in Odense

Anders Jacobsen’s smart finish earned OB a narrow victory against FC Copenhagen in Odense.

The striker latched on to Oliver Lund’s through ball and clipped his effort over Stephan Andersen just after the hour mark.

Andreas Cornelius twice saw chances blaze off target as FCK sought an opening, while Thomas Delaney had an early claim for a penalty waved away.

Lions goalkeeper Andersen had a golden opportunity to equalise himself in the last minute of the game but couldn’t direct a free header from a corner towards goal.

The defeat leaves FCK in eighth place in the Alka Superliga heading into the international break, with a game in hand over most of the division.
