Copenhagen cruise past Horsens

FC Copenhagen remain unbeaten in the Alka Superliga after a comfortable 5-0-win against AC Horsens, who didn't create many chances and failed to muster a shot on target.

On a cold and rainy afternoon Federico Santander opened the scoring with a header from a Ludwig Augustinsson cross, and Peter Ankersen doubled the lead after Andreas Cornelius had raced from the middle of FCK's half before delivering the pass to the fullback.

Before half time, Cornelius himself bagged the third goal with a thunderous shot after yet another fine Augustinsson cross, which Cornelius expertly controlled before hammering it home.

The Lions continued to dominate massively after the break, and Man of the Match Santander got his second goal from a freekick just outside the penalty area, before Andrija Pavlovic - much to his relief - sealed the victory with his first competitive goal since August.

"Of course it has been mentally tough, but I've had full support from the club, and I also want to thank our wonderful fans for their patience and support," said Pavlovic after the game.

FCK manager Ståle Solbakken added: "We created a lot of chances today and also converted many of them to goals, but we know it will be a totally different game on Thursday, when we play against Ajax in the Europa League. But we are confident and ready for the challenge."
